Cavalier teamed with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) to help raise money and make a difference for those living with Diabetes. Cavalier served as a "Rest Stop Sponsor" in the ADA walk Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes event. The walk was held in Richmond, VA on September 26. In addition to serving as a sponsor of the walk, Cavalier collectively raised more than $40,000 for ADA.
Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes is the American Diabetes Association's signature fundraising walk. With strong support from the business community including sponsorship and corporate teams, this event raises more than $20 million each year to find a cure for Diabetes and to support the ADA mission. Diabetes is one of the fastest growing diseases not only in the U.S., but the world. There are 23.6 million children and adults in the U.S., or 7.8% of the population, who have Diabetes. The ADA funds research to prevent, cure and manage Diabetes; delivers services and valuable information to hundreds of communities throughout the country.
