Danny Bottoms, President & Chief Executive Officer
Danny Bottoms joined Cavalier Telephone in 2008 after 2 years as COO of Showtime Arabia, a pay TV company operating from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With over 15 years experience in the US telecommunications industry, he was most recently the President and CEO of the metro optical solutions provider OnFiber Communications until its acquisition by Qwest Communications in 2006. Prior to OnFiber, he held management positions with MasTec, Qwest, and MCI. Danny started his career on active duty with the US Army and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iowa.

Clint Heiden, President of Intellifiber Networks
Clint Heiden has been with Cavalier since 2008 and serves as President of Intellifiber Networks, an independently run and wholly-owned subsidiary of Cavalier. Intellifiber Networks serves the growing needs of the carrier, enterprise and government markets with a state-of-the-art fiber network offering reliable, efficient and scalable network solutions. Clint brings an entrepreneurial approach to business that is backed by nearly twenty years of executive experience including a full scope of P&L, finance, HR, sales, marketing, business development and operations management. Clint’s expertise includes assembling high-performance sales teams and driving new standards of service. In past roles, Clint has held executive positions for companies such as Cable & Wireless America, Exodus, Qwest, and UUNET. Clint holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University.

Sarah Beth Murphy, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Sarah Beth Murphy joined Cavalier in 2010 from ITC^Deltacom, a regional CLEC with operations throughout the Southeastern U.S., where she served as Senior Vice President of Finance. She was previously a Director of AlixPartners, an international corporate consulting firm, working with a number of leading companies in the telecom and media industries. Sarah Beth also has experience in corporate development for an electric utility and as a consultant to the energy and chemical industries. She is on the board of directors of Seracare Life Sciences, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed life sciences company. Sarah Beth has a Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard University.

Rick Gambriel, Chief Information Officer
Rick Gambriel has been with Cavalier Telephone since April 2004, and serves as the Chief Information Officer overseeing all the Information Technology activities including all software development and infrastructure operations. Before joining Cavalier, Rick served as an Executive Vice President and CIO with BB&T subsidiary, Scott & Stringfellow Inc., brokerage firm. Rick also previously worked for NASA for 14 years at Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. Rick is a graduate of Frostburg State University and has a Law degree from the University of Baltimore and is the past president of the Richmond Math & Science Innovation Center Foundation.

Jeff Snyder, Executive Vice President of Human Resources
Jeff Snyder is one of the founders of Cavalier Telephone and currently serves as Executive Vice-President of Human Resources. He is responsible for all human resource activities, employee development and corporate training. Originally, Jeff served as Vice President of Marketing, overseeing product development and pricing and promotional strategies. Jeff has a strong background in business management, gained throughout his extensive career in product manufacturing for the automotive industry. Jeff transitioned into telecommunications at Phone Michigan, a company founded by Brad Evans. Jeff is a graduate of Western Michigan University.

James Vermeulen, Executive Vice President of Operations
Jim has been with Cavalier since 2001 and is responsible for network operations and engineering, repair, field services, and customer service. Since joining Cavalier he has held a succession of positions including Director of Engineering, Vice President of Engineering and Executive Vice President of Engineering. Prior to joining Cavalier, Jim held management positions with Conectiv Communications and US West Communications. Jim has been in the telecommunications industry for more than 20 years focusing on operations, engineering, and project management. He is a graduate of J.M. Perry Technical Institute, Yakima, Washington. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Francie McComb, Executive Vice President & General Counsel
Francie McComb joined Cavalier Telephone after Talk America was purchased in 2006. Since then, she has overseen all legal and regulatory affairs for Cavalier, including litigation, corporate, compliance, and federal and state advocacy. Before Cavalier, Francie was Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Talk America, Inc. where she oversaw all regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters. Francie is a graduate of Harvard-Radcliffe College and Villanova University School of Law.

Sean Wainwright, Senior Vice President of Consumer Sales
Sean has been with Cavalier since 2007 and is responsible for consumer sales and marketing, which encompasses both direct and indirect sales channels. Prior to Cavalier, Sean spent 12 years starting, building, and operating a wide array of businesses in the retail, distribution, and IT industries. Most recently he was President and COO of Dyna Global Commerce, an ecommerce incubator with 5 business units operating a variety of websites. He has helped launch more than ten companies, assisted with three initial public offerings, and was on the leading edge of developing drop-ship order fulfillment systems, multi-point distribution networks, and online sales and auction platforms. Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Ferrum College.

Mark Zitz, Senior Vice President of Service Delivery
Mark Zitz started with Cavalier in 2001 and is responsible for order management, provisioning and service activation, as well as field support services. Mark previously was responsible for Customer Care and Collections. Prior to joining Cavalier, he held positions with Bell Atlantic in Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania; Telstra Corporation in Sydney, Australia; and Valor Telecom in Dallas, Texas. Mark holds a B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Tech, an MBA from Widener University, and an MEE from Wilmington University.

Gary Crocco, Senior Vice President of Customer Retention
Gary has been with Cavalier since 2001. Since joining, he has held various roles of increased responsibility within commercial sales. In his current role, the Customer Retention team is responsible for retaining Cavalier’s existing customers through proactively serving their needs. Prior to joining Cavalier, Gary held various leadership positions in sales and customer service with AT&T Business Services, AT&T Broadband and Data One Financial Systems. Gary has been in the telecommunications industry for over eighteen years. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a minor in Marketing from The College of William and Mary.

Lou Sommi, Senior Vice President of Commercial Marketing
Lou joined Cavalier in 2008, bringing over 10 years of executive-level marketing and product development experience in the service provider and manufacturer segments. With an extensive understanding of customers, competition and emerging technologies, he is responsible for defining the commercial product lines and marketing direction. Prior to Cavalier, Lou was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales Operations for Broadview Networks, where he oversaw the integration of product lines and brand identity after the acquisition of ATX and Infohighway Communications. Earlier in his telecom career, Lou was Vice President of Sales & Marketing at RCN Corporation and held various management roles at Verizon, Nortel, and Wiltel.
