Title: Training and Solutions Specialist HOSTED PBX(IPEER)

Location: Columbus, OH

Duties: Cavalier Telephone is seeking external candidates that are motivated, team-oriented individuals to handle the implementation of hosted PBX business services through extensive collaboration and coordination with customers, vendors, and internal operational departments. In addition to technical verification and compatibility verification, this position will guide customers pre- and post-install so that the value of the service is maximized for the customer. Successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years technical experience in the telecommunications field, including LAN, WAN, switches, routers, data and telephone equipment knowledge; a minimum of 2 years customer training experience; and a minimum of 2 years project management experience. Candidate must also have a good understanding of VoIP phones or some knowledge of functionality. Candidate will show experience and references at time of interview. The candidate needs to have a thorough understanding of PBX and key system features, functionality, and provisioning is required. The candidate must be able to analyze phone use habits of customers and offer creative alternatives in a positive light. Experience with customer premises data solutions is highly desirable. Background in sales and customer service is desired. Prior voice/data integration experience is preferred. The candidate must have a strong service-orientation and be consultative in their approach. The person should be well organized, able to multi task, and comfortable with on-site contact with customers.

Qualifications: The Training and Solutions Specialist is responsible for setting up the phone features, softkeys, functionality in the switch/BG Admin portal, ensuring all numbers are in the switch/BG Admin Portal, being on the customer site during implementation of the IPEER system, setting up the system using the customer requirements, and ensuring customer understands the system. This will include working with project management, techs, and other teams to ensure site visits with the customer are scheduled and coordinated, station requirements are correct and documented, pre-training of the customer and customer’s personnel, provide onsite support at time of installation, and follow-up calls and visits after the cut over is complete This position will require a good deal of travel in different regions. Title: CPE Tech

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duties:
Customer Premises Equipment Field Technician will ensure the timely installations and restoration of complex Voip and data/internet services. CPE Technician will work effectively and collaborate with Dispatch, Service Delivery Project Coordinators, Repair, Provisioning representatives and customer vendors to provide technical support for Cavalier’s customers. This position must demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision, consistently exercise sound judgment, promote best safety practices, and provide accurate asset management control. Title: CPE Tech

Location: Baltimore, MD

Duties: The CPE Technician will ensure the timely installation and restoration of Telephone service communications circuits, from the central office, to the co-location sites, and at the customer premises. The CPE Technician must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and be capable of exercising good judgment. The CPE Technician will work with customers, vendors, and internal employees, to install or resolve maintenance or service issues to the customers satisfaction. The CPE Tech, will work closely with dispatch, The IS/PC, ISP, Transport, Switching, Translation and CPE supervisors, to provide excellent service and support for Cavalier Telephone’s business customers. The Goal and Objective for the CPE Technician, is the installation and restoration of telecommunications circuits for business customers, safely, and in a timely manner, while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications: The CPE Technician must have basic knowledge of analog and digital communication technology, and a working knowledge of Telecommunications Practices. Working knowledge of trouble shooting procedures for POTS, ISDN, DSL, DID, GS Lines, Trunks, PRI, DHO, Fractional T1’s, and DS3’s. Have extensive knowledge of Channel Banks and how to provision and trouble shoot them. Have a working Knowledge of Mux’s. . Must be able to utilize good customer service skills, while dealing with customers and vendors. Title: Transport Tech II

Location: Syracuse, NY

Duties: Areas of Responsibility- Turn-up, test, troubleshoot and maintain vast network of SONET/DWDM Rings, STS/M13 multiplexers, Outside plant fiber splicing and locating as well. Turn-up, test, troubleshoot and maintain customer and network DS1, DS3 and OC-n facilities using OTDR’s and T-berd test equipment. Responsible for the day-to-day activities of Transport Technician workforce in Intellifiber’s northern region, as well as provide Tier 2 technical support.

Qualifications: A minimum of two-years, hands-on experience with the provisioning and maintenance of fiber optic systems/SONET equipment, such as Cisco 15454, Lucent DMX, Alcatel 1603. DWDM gear to include Ciena 4200, Alcatel 1640/1626, BTI 4060, and ONI 9000. Must have extensive knowledge and experience with, DS3, OC-n architecture, as well as the turn–up, testing and troubleshooting procedures related to them. Prior experience and a general knowledge of IP and routing and fiber locating a plus. A geographic understanding of the NYC areas would be helpful. Title: NOC Tech III (Richmond OR Newark ONLY)

Location: Any

Duties:
We are looking for a motivated and team-oriented Technician to work in our Richmond, Virginia or Newark, Delaware location. This position includes network surveillance and monitoring of the Cavalier and Intellifiber SONET, DWDM, Switching, IP, Access equipment for alarms. This person must be able to analyze the alarms and make analytical decisions that will result in timely restoration. The primary job function of the position will be to support Intellifiber and Cavalier Premier Customers. The Technician will make and receive calls from an assigned base of accounts, place trouble tickets, turn up services and be the primary liaison between the customer and Cavalier/Intellifiber. The technician’s role will be to improve the overall customer experience, by increased focus and effectiveness of support for customers with high bandwidth or custom services.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Primary Duties:
Must be able to analyze alarm conditions as presented in NetCool Network Management System, dispatch appropriately and begin triage efforts to assist with troubleshooting of the affected equipment.
Must be able to utilize the various options in TBS to determine which customers are and would be affected by the alarms as presented by Netcool.
Work any and all tickets to ensure that network redundancy is present and affected customers circuits are repaired as expeditiously as possible.
Update assigned tickets in a timely manner, as well as perform any escalations to the carriers, vendors, and management until the issue is resolved.
First point of contact for our elite customers. This will include “Dark Fiber" customers to whom Intellifiber has leased facilities which are not lit by Intellifiber, but by the respective customer.
Perform proactive and follow up calls to customers, to ensure they are informed and satisfied.
Notify elite customers of any service effecting events which may affect their services.
Turn up and or facilitate the turn up of services for our elite customers.


Qualifications:
The qualified candidate should have experience and working knowledge with SONET equipment, Digital Cross Connect Systems, Digital Loop Carriers, Routers, ATM Switching, DWDM Equipment, Softswitches (Meta Switch) and Legacy switching platforms (Lucent 5E, Nortel DMS 500 switches).

The candidate should have an understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP standards. The person must have experience with network inventory software applications (TBS). Shift work is mandatory. The person must be computer proficient, be able to write clear observations of events and communicate them to their peers and Management as needed via the ticketing system as well as telephonically. Customer contact is required via telephone and email.

Previous networking experience is a must. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-4 years experience with Cisco devices.
Knowledge of DSL, T1, ISDN, VPN, web hosting, email hosting, and dialup in an ISP environment; solid understanding of TCP/IP protocol, sub netting, ATM, POS, LANs, WANs, VLAN, VPN, Frame Relay, Radius, Modem Pool, Network infrastructure and telephony is required.

Duties:
Cavalier Telephone, L.L.C. is seeking a Sales Engineer (SE) to support our New Orleans, LA sales team. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Sales Reps and Sales Managers of the assigned teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Attend appointments with salespeople to investigate and document customer requirements. Design solutions that address business needs. Develop presentation content such as network maps, Visio diagrams, TCO analysis and other tools and present the technical solution to customer.

Network Plus, Cisco CCNA or CCDA certification desired.
