How Does it work?
PHONOM Voice over Broadband service uses a state-of-the-art digital converter to deliver telephone service over a broadband Internet connection such as Cable or DSL. Using a regular telephone, your call signal is converted into digitized data and sent via "voice packets" across the Internet. Once your digital voice packets reach their destination, they're converted back into regular telephone signals to complete a crystal clear digital phone call.
To enjoy the PHONOM Voice Over Broadband, you need a high-speed broadband Internet connection (such as DSL or cable) and a normal telephone. When you sign up for PHONOM service, you will get the Digital Voice Converter and all of the cables that you will need to make the connections between your computer, telephone and Internet connection.
