Domain Name Services or Server (DNS) is an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Because domain names are made from alphabetic character strings, they are easier to remember and often refer to a person or business. The Internet routes traffic and provides access to web sites based on IP addresses . DNS service translates the name (resolves it) into the corresponding IP address . The domain name www.foo.com might translate to 162.121.3.51
