Definition of VoIP Phone.

A VoIP phone is the physical telephone equipment designed to use in a voice over IP system. A VoIP phone converts a standard telephone audio signal into a digital signal format that can be transmitted over the Internet. On the recieving side, a VoIP phone converts incoming digital signals to standard telephone audio. A VoIP phone allows you to take utilize VoIP technology without a personal computer, although an Internet connection is required.
